Job summary

Suomen metsäkeskus in Tampere is recruiting a project manager for the Vauhtia talousmetsien luonnonhoito training project in Pirkanmaa. You will guide the program, manage budgets and steering group work, and implement activities with Metsäkeskus experts and partner projects.

The role requires forestry education, strong forestry management knowledge, and excellent Finnish communication and interpersonal skills. Travel and driving may be expected.

Job description

Metsäkeskus is seeking a project manager for the Vauhtia talousmetsien luonnonhoito training project in Pirkanmaa. The role includes leading and managing the project, including budgeting, reporting and steering group work. You will implement the project together with Metsäkeskus experts and sister projects, prepare and execute training events, collaborate with partners and stakeholders, develop new innovations, and handle project communications.

We expect a suitable education such as forestry engineer or forester, good forestry management skills and knowledge of nature-based forestry management, strong communication skills in Finnish, good interpersonal skills.

Desirable: project experience, initiative, good teamwork, negotiation, public speaking, customer-orientation, willingness to travel and ability to use own car.

Salary follows collective agreement grade 8 with base salary 3 544,60 €/month plus potential performance-based pay 0-15% of base.

Location Tampere office.

Fixed-term 1.9.2026 - 31.12.2027. Start 1.9.2026 or as agreed. 6-month probation.
