SPX AtoN in Porvoo, Finland, is seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to join our engineering team for the development of next-generation embedded products. This hands-on role entails coding, testing and debugging at the microcontroller level, with close collaboration to hardware and other engineering teams.
We value strong C programming skills, bare-metal and RTOS experience, and familiarity with ARM Cortex MCUs.
SPX AtoN is looking for an experienced Firmware Engineer to join our engineering team in Porvoo and play a key role in the development of our next generation of embedded products.
This is a highly hands-on engineering role, with 100% hands-on involvement in coding, testing and debugging. You'll work at low level, developing firmware directly on microcontrollers and collaborating closely with hardware, systems and other engineering teams.
Our existing products use Renesas platforms, while our new product development is moving towards ARM Cortex, making ARM experience particularly valuable.
You'll be working on both new product development and sustaining engineering, giving you the opportunity to work across the full embedded firmware lifecycle.
The existing product portfolio uses Renesas technology, while our new products are moving to
ARM Cortex-based MCUs. This means you'll have the opportunity to be involved in an important technology transition and help shape the firmware architecture of future products.
The role is highly collaborative, but remains very hands-on - you'll be writing, testing and debugging code yourself, rather than moving into a purely managerial or supervisory position.
This is an opportunity to join a team developing embedded technology for new products, working at low level with modern microcontroller platforms and contributing directly to the products you'll see move from development into the field.
If you're an experienced embedded firmware engineer who enjoys C, bare-metal, RTOS and hands-on development, we'd love to hear from you.
