Job summary

Ruukki Construction seeks an Area IT Manager to oversee local IT development and support in Finland and to lead a regional IT team across Central Eastern Europe. The role combines leadership, operations, and strategic execution in a dynamic international environment.

The candidate will manage a Finnish IT team, recruit and budget, and coordinate with European IT managers to share best practices and optimize resources. Hybrid work and Finland-based location preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of business applications and IT infrastructure, including security.
• Experience in strategy and roadmap execution.
• Understanding of business process development.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and ITIL service delivery.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluent in Finnish and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Area Europe IT roadmap and resource planning.
• Ensure day-to-day IT support and development aligned with Ruukki and SSAB IT policies.
• Manage team IT costs, including budgeting and proposals.
• Oversee contracts and vendor management, including invoicing.
• Collaborate with SSAB common IT on infrastructure and application development.
• Define collaboration models with business stakeholders across Europe.
• Act as a general point of contact for infra-related topics within Ruukki Construction IT management.
