Job summary

Punta is seeking a software architect to lead the architecture of our Smart Locker platform, spanning embedded devices to cloud services as we scale internationally. You will work closely with embedded, backend and frontend teams to design a secure, scalable architecture across devices, Python applications, and Google Cloud Platform services.

Qualifications

• Solid experience designing architecture for embedded products and cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to read unfamiliar code and system documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and document end-to-end system architecture from embedded devices to cloud services.
• Define device-to-cloud communication, security and device identity for 32-bit MCUs.
• Own infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD architecture across Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes and GitHub Actions.
• Lead code reviews and set technical quality standards across embedded (C/C++) and backend (Python).
• Evaluate architecture trade-offs and communicate cost and risk implications to the business.
• Document recurring questions for the team and draw the line between implementation and architecture decisions.
