Job summary

Ookla, an Accenture company, is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our team building state-of-the-art applications that help customers design and optimize their Wi‑Fi networks. You will work in a tight-knit team, shaping architecture and mentoring juniors to deliver scalable features across services and platforms on AWS.

You will collaborate with product managers and designers, debug issues, and contribute to evolving our software stack.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, TypeScript.
• Experience with building scalable solutions and microservices on top AWS.
• Experience designing and working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL).
• Bonus points: experience with modern frontend development with Vue.js or React.
• Bonus points: experience with Kotlin, Scala and Terraform.
• Getting things done attitude and a growth mindset.
• Good communication skills in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and further develop our current web application architecture to support new features that require system understanding covering our proprietary measurement devices’ data and control planes, and corresponding data and API architecture in the cloud
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, helping them understand architectural principles, best practices, and effective ways of working.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues for stable and efficient applications.
