Job summary

TGRC is engaging for an Electrical and IT Supervisor to oversee day-to-day construction activities on onshore wind projects in Finland. You will supervise e-BoP, IT, substations and transformer scopes on site, coordinating with Grid and Site Managers to deliver milestones and maintain safety and compliance.

Fluency in Finnish and English, degree in electrical engineering, and strong planning and reporting skills are required to support contractor QA/QC, risk mitigation and interface management

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Experience supervising electrical installation works on construction projects.
• Knowledge of wind farm electrical infrastructure and QA/QC/HSE requirements.
• Ability to coordinate contractors and manage multiple interfaces.

The Opportunity

TGRC is supporting a major renewable energy developer with anticipated contract requirements across a large onshore wind construction portfolio in Finland.

We are looking to speak with experienced Electrical and IT Supervisors with strong construction-phase experience across electrical balance of plant, IT systems, substations, transformers and wind farm electrical infrastructure.

This role is well suited to someone who can supervise site-based electrical works, coordinate with contractors, monitor quality and progress, and support the successful delivery of electrical infrastructure in line with project requirements.

The Role

The Electrical and IT Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily construction activities related to e-BoP, IT, substation and transformer scopes on site.

The role will involve close cooperation with the Grid Manager, Site Manager, contractors and wider project team, ensuring that works are delivered safely, to specification, and in line with the project programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise site activities relating to e-BoP, IT, substation and transformer scopes.

• Monitor the quality and progress of electrical and IT construction works.

• Work closely with the Grid Manager and Site Manager to support delivery of key milestones.

• Liaise with contractors and coordinate site-level electrical activities.

• Monitor contractor QA/QC and HSE performance in the field.

• Supervise contractor progress and performance against contract requirements.

• Document and report deviations from contract, specification or programme.

• Support contractors in resolving site issues and delivering their scope successfully.

• Coordinate interfaces between civil, foundations, substation, transformer, OHL, electrical and turbine scopes.

• Support technical reviews of proposed additional works.

• Participate in design meetings and review required drawings or design information.

• Support risk identification, mitigation planning and follow-up for e-BoP and related interfaces.

• Report progress and technical matters to the Grid Manager and Site Manager.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in electrical engineering or a related discipline.

• Strong experience supervising electrical installation works on construction projects.

• Good knowledge of wind farm electrical infrastructure, e-BoP, substation, transformer or grid-related works.

• Understanding of QA/QC and HSE requirements for electrical construction activities.

• Ability to coordinate contractors and manage multiple technical interfaces.

• Strong planning, reporting, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Good understanding of best practice in substation, grid and wind farm solutions.

• Experience using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

• Fluency in Finnish and English.
