Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is recruiting an Electrical Lead for a major data centre project in Finland. The role is site-based with a 10 days on / 4 days off rotation, mobilising ahead of early 2027 construction start.

You will head the electrical construction team, coordinate design, procurement, installation and commissioning, and manage subcontractors to deliver a complex, mission-critical electrical scope on site.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a substantial electrical package on large data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Contractor-side data centre construction experience.
• Delivery of electrical works through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Strong knowledge of MV, LV and critical electrical infrastructure.
• Experience managing electrical subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Understanding of programme, construction sequencing, quality and safety.
• Electrical qualification or strong trade background.
• Ability to work effectively in an international project team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical construction and engineering team on site.
• Manage electrical supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and vendors.

• Manage construction sequencing, manpower and short-term programme needs.
• Oversee MV and LV distribution and critical power systems.

• Resolve technical, design and installation issues to protect delivery.
• Maintain electrical quality, safety and compliance across the project.
• Coordinate with CSA, mechanical, MEP, commissioning, QA/QC and HSE teams.
• Report on progress, resources, risks and upcoming requirements.

Electrical Lead - Data Centre

Finland | 10/4 rotation | €7,000-€8,000 net per month

Take ownership of the electrical delivery on a major new data centre construction project in Finland.

Morson is supporting an established international engineering contractor with the appointment of a site-based Electrical Lead. The project is preparing for mobilisation ahead of construction starting in early 2027, giving you the opportunity to join early and lead the electrical scope through installation, testing, commissioning, energisation and handover.

This is not a design-only position. The client needs an experienced electrical construction leader who can manage the programme, people, subcontractors and technical coordination required to deliver a complex mission‑critical project on site.

What you will be responsible for

• Leading the electrical construction and engineering team on site
• Managing electrical supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and specialist vendors
• Coordinating electrical design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities
• Managing construction sequencing, manpower and short-term programme requirements
• Overseeing MV and LV distribution and critical power systems
• Coordinating testing, energisation, LOTO and system handover
• Resolving technical, design and installation issues before they affect delivery
• Maintaining electrical quality, safety and compliance across the project
• Coordinating with CSA, mechanical, MEP, commissioning, QA/QC and HSE teams
• Reporting on progress, resources, risks and upcoming project requirements

What we are looking for

You will have previously led a substantial electrical package on a large data centre or comparable mission‑critical construction project.

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

• Experience as an Electrical Lead, Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Construction Manager or Electrical Package Manager
• Proven contractor-side data centre construction experience
• Delivery of electrical works through construction, commissioning and handover
• Strong knowledge of MV, LV and critical electrical infrastructure
• Experience managing electrical subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams
• A strong understanding of programme, construction sequencing, quality and safety
• An electrical engineering qualification or a strong electrical trade background
• The ability to work effectively within an international project team
• Existing legal right to work in Finland

Experience involving transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, busbar, temporary power and electrical energisation would be particularly relevant.
