Job summary

V7 Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a major data centre project in Helsinki. The role focuses on effective commercial management, cost control and driving value across Europe.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of QS experience in construction, with strong procurement, contract administration and cost reporting capabilities. The project offers exposure to large-scale, mission-critical developments and a competitive salary package.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction.
• Experience supporting commercial management of construction projects.
• Good understanding of cost control, procurement and contract administration.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of the project throughout its lifecycle.
• Assist with preparation and management of project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Support procurement activities, including subcontractor tendering, evaluation and contract administration.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Package Managers and site teams on cost management.
• Maintain accurate commercial and contractual documentation.
• Attend commercial meetings, site meetings and project reviews.
• Evaluate and process change orders and variations in line with contract requirements.
• Prepare interim valuations and applications for payment.
• Support the preparation of final accounts and financial reports.
• Provide commercial advice and support to the wider project team.
