Job summary

Uneek Global Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on major Data Centre projects in Helsinki, Finland. You will manage budgets, forecasts and subcontractor performance while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics and at least six years of contractor-side experience, with data centre sector knowledge and Finnish market familiarity being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related field.
• At least six years of Quantity Surveying or commercial management experience.
• Strong contractor-side commercial experience.
• Experience managing subcontract packages throughout full lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience managing variations, claims and contractual correspondence.
• Understanding of FIDIC, YSE 1998, NEC, JCT or comparable contracts.
• Data Centre experience is highly desirable.
• Finnish market experience and language skills beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of major construction projects and packages.
• Monitor budgets, costs, forecasts and overall commercial performance.
• Report actual costs against estimates and resolve variances.
• Manage subcontractors from procurement to final accounts.
• Review tender and contract documents for risks and opportunities.
• Handle variations, claims and change-control processes.
• Prepare EOT notifications and supporting docs.
• Ensure subcontract agreements reflect scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Produce commercial reports on progress, risks and solutions.
• Develop relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Mentor junior commercial team members.
• Provide proactive commercial and contractual advice throughout delivery.
