Job summary

GRIT Fund Management Company Ltd is seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer who will take over the current role and report directly to the Board of Directors. You will oversee the full compliance function, including monitoring programs, policy setting, AML, data protection, and regulatory communications.

The role involves hands-on transition support from the current Compliance Officer and collaboration with in-house legal counsel, risk management, and senior management across fund operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in law or finance with relevant experience in compliance, legal, risk or audit, preferably in financial sector.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and set priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in Finnish or Swedish, and English.

Job description

Our current Compliance Officer will transition to a new role within GRIT, and we are looking for their successor. You will take over and run our compliance function, reporting directly to the Board of Directors.

The role covers the full scope of compliance work, including planning and executing the compliance monitoring program, compliance checks, regulatory monitoring, policy setting, AML, data protection, authority communication, and advisory to the Board, management, and staff.

The current Compliance Officer is moving to another role within the company and will provide hands-on training and support during the transition, ensuring you are set up for success before assuming full responsibility.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a candidate with the following profile:

• Law degree from Finland or a comparable jurisdiction, or a higher degree in finance or economics combined with relevant experience
• Relevant experience in compliance, legal, risk, or audit functions, preferably from the financial sector
• Strong attention to detail and a structured and independent way of working, with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work well across teams
• Excellent written and verbal language skills in Finnish or Swedish, and in English
• Knowledge of fund regulation is considered a clear advantage
