Job summary

Metso is seeking a Chief Engineer, Generic Process Engineer, to lead process engineering activities in global plant delivery projects from Espoo, Finland. The role supports metal refining plant solutions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a hybrid work model.

The ideal candidate has a 4+ year track record in process engineering, a degree in Process/Chemical Engineering, and strong English communication. AutoCAD Plant3D experience is advantageous and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering, studies in Plant Design are considered as an advantage.
• Experience in process engineering, for a Chief engineer role at least 4+ years of experience is expected.
• A positive and proactive approach to work, with a strong commitment to delivering results.
• Eagerness to learn, develop professionally, and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Customer-focused and innovative mindset with good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, while also working independently.
• Knowledge of CAD design tools preferably AutoCAD Plant3D with process diagrams is an advantage.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead generic process engineering activities in plant delivery projects as Chief Engineer.
• Manage subcontracted engineering work and support successful project execution.
• Develop and maintain P&I Diagrams and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Prepare and contribute to other process engineering deliverables required during project execution.
• Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines during project execution.
• Contribute to the development of Metso’s metal refining plants and engineering solutions.
