Job summary

Valmet Automotive Oyj is seeking a commercially minded Business Controller to drive budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning. You will analyze financial performance, risks and opportunities and provide actionable insights to management.

You will support strategic decisions with financial models, monitor balance sheet development and working capital, and collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate monthly reporting while developing robust financial processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in business controlling and financial planning & analysis.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis skills.
• Understanding of balance sheet, cash flow and working capital.
• Fluent English; Finnish language skills a plus.

At Valmet Automotive, we are shaping the future of industries. To support our continuing development, we are looking for a commercially minded and analytically strong Business Controller to join our finance team.

Your role

As a Business Controller, you will play a key role in steering business performance and supporting management with timely insights and forward-looking analyses. Your main responsibilities include:

• Leading the annual budgeting process, preparing monthly forecasts, and driving Long Range Planning (LRP)
• Analyzing financial performance, business drivers, risks, and opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations to management
• Monitoring and improving product, customer, and project profitability analyses
• Supporting strategic and operational decision-making through business cases, scenario analyses, and financial modeling
• Ensuring visibility of balance sheet development, working capital, and cash flow performance
• Ensuring accurate monthly reporting in close cooperation with the accounting team
• Developing financial processes, reporting, and controlling practices to better support the business

What you bring?

• Relevant academic degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Experience in business controlling, financial planning and analysis, or a similar finance role
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial performance management, and profitability analysis
• Good understanding of balance sheet management, cash flow, and working capital dynamics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn financial data into meaningful business insights
• Proactive and business-oriented approach, with strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
• Excellent Excel and reporting tool skills and fluent English; experience with ERP and BI solutions, project controlling, IFRS 15, and Finnish language skills are considered an advantage

Location &Work Flexibility

Our main operations are based in Uusikaupunki. However, youll also have the option to work from our office premises in Turku with additional flexibility for remote work.
