Job summary

Nordea is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help deliver solutions for business-critical banking applications and a new Availability Layer platform. You will work with AWS EKS, S3, Snowflake and Terraform, automating deployments and supporting service reliability across multiple countries.

The role involves on-call rotation, collaboration with the Integration SRE team, and continuous improvement of infrastructure and processes in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps solutions across cloud-native environments.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud platform and services.
• Experience automating infrastructure with Terraform, Jenkins and Argo CD.
• Understanding SQL and data formats (e.g., Apache Iceberg) is a plus.
• Source control using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring with Prometheus, Victoria Metrics or Grafana.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build new infrastructure components on cloud platforms (AWS EKS, S3).
• Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration.
• Act as Site Reliability Engineer and participate in on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with teams across multiple countries.
• Learn and grow by working in a large environment with skilled colleagues.
