Job summary

Nordea is seeking a seasoned Tech Lead for the Data Mesh and AI Platforms team to shape cloud-native data and AI platform capabilities. You will drive secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with governance and cybersecurity teams.

The role balances hands-on engineering with architectural leadership in a banking context, offering a hybrid work arrangement and exposure to cutting-edge AI platform services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud/platform engineering or technical leadership.
• Proven leadership of engineers and setting technical direction in complex environments.
• Expert-level IaC and Terraform skills.
• Experience with AI platform services (Bedrock/AgentCore, Gemini, Foundry).
• Strong IAM, IdP integration, secrets management, and secure access patterns.
• Production CI/CD pipelines, observability, and platform ops experience.
• Ability to balance speed, cost, scalability and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set the engineering direction for AI platform capabilities with focus on security and scalability.
• Lead hands-on engineering across cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, provisioning, and reusable patterns.
• Design secure platform foundations across AWS, GCP, and Azure with identity integration and observability.
• Drive pragmatic adoption of AI platform services in a banking-grade environment.
• Coach engineers and foster a strong platform engineering culture.
• Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, architects, cybersecurity, and governance teams.
• Own and communicate the technical roadmap and align with business priorities.
• Translate technical complexity into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
