Job summary

Valmet Automation Oy in Tampere, Finland is seeking an Application Specialist to turn process and automation expertise into practical solutions for energy customers. You will work across application definition, design and commissioning, collaborating with customers and project teams from concept to site implementation.

You will translate process requirements into automation applications, participate in site commissioning, document technical details, and travel occasionally to customer sites.

Qualifications

• You have a degree in Automation Engineering, Process Engineering, Energy Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• You have experience with process automation, control engineering, process optimization or industrial applications.
• You have experience with application engineering, configuration or programming within DCS, SCADA, PLC or similar automation environments
• You are willing to travel occasionally as part of project delivery and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• You will translate process requirements into automation applications, defining, designing, and configuring control solutions using specialized engineering tools.
• You will collaborate with customers, process experts and project teams to ensure solutions meet operational and performance requirements.
• You will participate in site commissioning, testing and troubleshooting to ensure reliable system performance.
• You will prepare technical documentation, conduct investigations and support customer visits throughout project delivery.
