Job summary
Valmet is seeking an Application Specialist in Tampere to translate process needs into automation solutions across design and commissioning. You will work with customers, process experts and project teams to deliver robust control systems and practical applications from concept to site implementation.
You will apply knowledge of automation environments, document technical details and support field activities while aligning with Valmet’s leadership principles and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Degree in Automation Engineering, Process Engineering, Energy Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with process automation, control engineering, process optimization or industrial applications.
- Experience with application engineering, configuration or programming within DCS, SCADA, PLC or similar environments.
Responsibilities
- Translate process requirements into automation applications, designing and configuring control solutions.
- Collaborate with customers, process experts and project teams to ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Participate in site commissioning, testing and troubleshooting to ensure reliable performance.
- Prepare technical documentation and support customer visits throughout project delivery.
