Saab Finland Oy seeks an Antenna Engineer in Tampere to own antenna development from simulation to testing and production integration. You will design, prototype, and optimize antennas for demanding, high-reliability applications in collaboration with system design, software, hardware, and testing teams.

Join our Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave Development team in Tampere and play a key role in designing advanced antenna solutions for state‑of‑the‑art electronic warfare systems.
In this position, you will take ownership of antenna development from simulation and prototyping to testing and product integration. Your role As an Antenna Engineer, you will design, simulate, prototype, and optimize antennas for demanding high‑reliability applications. You will collaborate closely with system design, software, hardware, and testing teams to define requirements and develop effective antenna solutions.
In this role, you will use simulation tools to optimize antenna performance, validate designs through measurements, and develop functional prototypes that meet technical and environmental requirements. You will also contribute to ensuring that your designs are manufacturable and suitable for production.
Depending on your expertise and interests, you will have an opportunity to work on cutting‑edge technologies while also engaging with practical radio technology, electronics, mechanics, and embedded software. The position offers involvement throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from concept development and design to testing and product realization.
Documentation is an essential part of designing high‑reliability systems, and you will create and maintain technical documentation in both Finnish and English. The role is primarily based at our office and laboratory facilities in Tampere, though occasional international travel may be required.
