Job summary

Saab Sensor Technology Center in Tampere is seeking an R&D Infrastructure Engineer to build, maintain, and secure development and test environments for advanced electronic warfare systems. We are looking for an R&D Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and develop the R&D infrastructure that enables our Engineering teams to create next-generation electronic warfare systems. In this role, your work will directly support product development and testing activities.

Your role

This is not a traditional IT support role. Acting as a bridge between IT and engineering teams, you will create and maintain the environments needed to develop and validate advanced defense technology. The role combines system administration, laboratory engineering, cybersecurity, and product platform support in a highly collaborative R&D environment.

In this hands‑on role, you will be responsible for setting up, developing, and maintaining our laboratory systems, physical servers, engineering tools, networked test environments, and Windows-based product platforms. You will provide support in product demonstrations and installations for needed connectivity and equipment setup. As part of a wider Engineering Support team, you will also provide backup support for DevOps-related activities.
