Job summary

Beneq in Espoo, Finland, seeks a Process Development Manager to drive advanced ALD process development for research and semiconductor customers worldwide. This hands-on role blends laboratory work (about 80%) with people leadership (about 20%), guiding experimental work, optimization, and customer-driven projects.

You’ll collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and application experts to develop ALD processes that demonstrate Beneq’s advanced solutions.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of ALD, thin film deposition, or related technologies.
• Hands-on process development and experimental work experience.
• Industry experience in thin film, vacuum coating, semiconductor, or other high-tech manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute ALD process development activities focused on developing new and optimized thin film processes for advanced applications and customer needs.
• Combine hands-on laboratory and cleanroom work with team coordination responsibilities, supporting project prioritization and daily guidance for the Process Development team.
• Act as a technical contact for customers and internal stakeholders; drive continuous improvement of methodologies and practices.
• Coordinate project priorities, schedules, and resource planning; document measurements and reporting.
