Job summary

Taiga is seeking the first dedicated AI Engineer to own the intelligence layer behind the system—how agents reason, use tools, retrieve context, collaborate, and improve.

As part of the founding engineering team in Helsinki, you’ll shape the platform from day one and work closely with the founders. The role offers competitive pay and equity with hybrid onsite collaboration at Maria 01.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python skills.
• Experience shipping AI systems into production environments.
• Experience building agent workflows, orchestration, or tool-use systems.
• Experience with RAG, retrieval, embeddings, or knowledge systems.
• Experience designing or maintaining evaluation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Anthropic, OpenAI, Bedrock, or similar LLM platforms.
• Daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Own the core agent platform and intelligence layer.
• Define how agents reason, choose tools, and collaborate.
• Develop retrieval and context systems for long-horizon tasks.
• Instrument and improve agent behavior, evaluation, and governance.
• Collaborate with founders to ship production AI features.
