Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking an AI Data Analyst to strengthen data analytics for our global logistics operations. You will turn data into advanced analyses and AI-powered tools, delivering insights, reports and conversational solutions for operations.

The role spans the full data lifecycle—from understanding business needs to modelling data and deploying dashboards and AI-based tools, with emphasis on practical impact and safety.

Qualifications

• Good command in SQL and experience working with data from different source systems.
• Programming experience in Python for data work.
• Practical experience applying AI/LLMs to data-related use cases (NLQ, RAG, automated analysis).
• Hands-on experience creating reports/visualizations, mainly with Power BI.
• Knowledge of data platforms such as Databricks or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced analyses on Wärtsilä Global Logistics Services data.
• Build AI-powered tools or conversational agents for operational users.
• Enable SQL-based and natural-language data querying across structured data and documents.
• Collect requirements and deliver analyses, dashboards or reports.
• ETL: extract, transform and prepare data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain visualizations and reports where needed.
• Contribute to AI-ready data practices and safe adoption of AI tools.
