Job summary

Salesforce is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions inside enterprise environments. You’ll work with a Deployment Strategist to co-build live production solutions, delivering measurable business impact for large strategic customers.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, collaboration with senior engineers, and ongoing innovation in AI tools and data platforms. Expect frequent client interactions and domestic travel around 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with at least one production system
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience is required
• Fluency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering; able to explain failures and improvements
• Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns
• Ability to work with sales teams and customer architects
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents and experiences that operate in production environments for enterprise customers
• Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems
• Own technical components end-to-end from architecture to production deployment
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms
• Create agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting to monitor health and outcomes
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs for rapid deployment
• Collaborate with customers and partners, sharing best practices
• Provide product feedback from field experience to engineering and product teams
• Partner with Deployment Strategist to translate customer challenges into deployable solutions
