Lead UX Designer, DIY Design Editing - Spain Remote

What you'll do :

1. Drive foundational experiences and standards for the “DIY” platform, ensuring cohesive and high-quality customer experiences across the entire editor.
2. Lead the design of core functionalities in the editor, focusing on usability improvements and innovative solutions to address customer challenges, from simple adjustments to complex design issues.
3. Consider edge cases, accessibility standards, and diverse customer scenarios to ensure solutions meet both business and user needs comprehensively.
4. Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to define, deliver, and standardize design requirements, establishing principles for future development.
5. Engage at all stages of the design process—from discovery to detailed design, execution, and iteration—creating user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes, either independently or collaboratively.
6. Partner with cross-functional teams, including brainstorming with colleagues on product problems, solutions, requirements, and priorities.
7. Participate in strategic decision-making to prioritize product design initiatives and explore new ideas.
8. Work with data, consumer insights, and UX research teams to guide product direction and validate new concepts.
9. Ensure designs are consistent with the Vista design system and marketing brand guidelines.
10. Advocate for user-centered design methods within the “DIY” platform and across Vista.

Your Qualifications :

1. 5+ years of experience designing complex digital products.
2. 4+ years collaborating with product, engineering, design, content, and user research teams.
3. Strong portfolio demonstrating UX and design skills with case studies showing user-centered, innovative solutions with measurable positive impacts.
4. Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions.
5. Ability to switch between high-level concepts and detailed design, as well as future planning and near-term implementation.
6. Excellent at building relationships with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and engineers.
7. Proficient in presenting design concepts to diverse audiences.
8. Strong skills in typography, hierarchy, color, composition, and contrast.
9. Enthusiastic about design trends, tools, processes, and methodologies, with a willingness to learn and share insights.
10. Proficient with design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch for creating high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes.
11. Experience working with global or highly matrixed teams.

Nice to Have :

1. Degree in Design or HCI.
2. Experience leading goal-oriented workshops to generate ideas, build consensus, and align teams.
3. Experience designing for web, mobile web, and large digital ecosystems.
4. Experience in feature prioritization and roadmap planning.
