Nordex Group is seeking a WT Software Automation Engineer in Spain to advance wind turbine control software. You will develop and enhance software functions, clarify requirements, implement PLC-based features, and define test criteria.

You will QA on HiL systems and at active sites, and produce comprehensive software documentation. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology, 2–4 years of experience, and fluent English (C1).

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology.
• 2–4 years of experience in related field.
• Fluent English (C1+); Spanish or German a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and enhance wind turbine software control functions.
• Clarify requirements and write software specifications.
• Implement software on PLCs according to requirements.
• Define test and acceptance criteria for the wind turbine software.

Your Tasks

As part of our growth we are looking for a WT Software Automation Engineer. In this role, you will perform the following tasks:

• New and further development of control technology functions in the area of operational control of the wind turbine
• Technical clarification and creation of software specifications
• Implementation of software functions on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) based on defined requirements
• Definition of test and acceptance criteria for the qualification of the wind turbine software
• Quality assurance through software testing on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) systems in the software laboratory and on-site at wind turbines
• Creation of the related software documentation

Your Profile

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology
• At least 2-4 years of experience
• Fluent level of English is a must (C1 or above). Spanish and/or German are a great plus
