Nordex Group in Madrid is seeking a Concept & Technology Lead to drive new technologies for wind turbine generators. You will lead interdisciplinary project teams, guide product strategy, and communicate technical results across the company from shop floor to board level.

Ideal candidates bring a degree in engineering, several years in R&D for aerodynamics and blade design, and strong English communication skills.

Formación

• Educational background: Degree in engineering, applied science, or equivalent.
• Industry experience in R&D, ideally in aerodynamics, blade design concepts and aeroelasticity.
• Strong knowledge of engineering analyses, studies, and calculations for wind-turbine blade technology.
• Collaborative and flexible to work with international, diverse teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership and integration skills; fluent in English.

Responsabilidades

• Drive Nordex wind turbine generator technology and associated systems with technical expertise and people management.
• Initiate and drive innovation focused on reducing cost of energy for wind turbines (aerodynamics, blade design, aeroelasticity, rotor optimisation).
• Lead engineering analyses, studies, and calculations at concept level.
• Manage small to medium interdisciplinarity project teams; provide technical guidance.
• Advise on product strategy, engineering outcomes and boardlevel communication.
• Document results effectively and communicate with all company functions from shop floor to board.

Your Tasks

As part of our growth we are looking for a Concept & Technology Lead. You will be responsible for technically driving projects for new technologies to be applied for future wind turbine generators. Amongst others, you will perform the following tasks:

• Drive Technological Advancements: Drive Nordex wind turbine generator technology and associated systems with your profound technical expertise and people management skills
• Innovate: Initiate and drive innovation with a focus on reducing cost of energy for wind turbine generators with focus on aerodynamics, blade design concepts, aeroelasticity and rotor optimisation
• Engineering Excellence: Lead and conduct engineering analyses, studies, and calculations on concept level
• Project Leadership: Manage small to medium sized diverse and interdisciplinary project teams, providing strong technical guidance and fostering collaboration
• Strategic Advisory: Serve as a technical advisor for product strategy, engineering and upper management
• Effective Communication: Professionally document results and communicate with all company functions, from shop floor to board level

Your Profile

• Educational Background: Degree in engineering, applied science, or equivalent*
• Industry Experience Control: Several years of industrial experience in research and development, ideally within the area of aerodynamics, blade design concepts and aeroelasticity
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of engineering analyses, studies, and calculations in blade technology for wind turbines
• Collaborative Spirit: High degree of flexibility to work with all areas of the company in international and diverse teams
• Integration and Communication: Excellent communication, leadership and integration skills, with advanced proficiency in English
• Proactive and Decisive: Hands-on mentality with a strong decision-making personality
• Tech-Savvy: Proficient in common and specialized engineering IT tools, MS Office including Project/Planner
• For foreign qualifications, recognition as the corresponding Spanish degree equivalency is required when applying.
