Nordex Group in Madrid is seeking an engineer to design and tune control algorithms for wind turbines and hybrid power plants. The ideal candidate will hold an MSc or Ph.D. in Electrical, Power Systems, or Control Engineering and have programming skills in Matlab, Simulink, and PSCAD.

This role offers hybrid working opportunities and is open to candidates with 1–4 years of experience. Proficiency in English (C1) is required, and knowledge of German or Spanish is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Design and tune control algorithms for wind turbines, wind farms and hybrid power plant systems.
• Ensure compliance with international grid codes through control system design.
• Model and simulate dynamic behavior of power systems and power converters.
• Develop and implement control strategies for Power Management Systems (PMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).

• Ensure compliance with international grid codes, electrical models and mechanical loads through control system design
• Model and simulate dynamic behavior of power systems as electrical actuators (DFIG), grid scenarios and power converters
• Develop and implement control strategies for Power Management Systems (PMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS)

• Programming skills: Matlab, Simulink, PSCAD
