Nordex SE in Spain seeks a WT Software Automation Engineer to develop and refine control software for wind turbines. You will work on PLC-based software functions, clarify specifications, and contribute to formal test criteria for turbine software.

On-site role in Navarra/Sarriguren requires 2–4 years of experience and fluent English; Spanish or German skills are a plus. You will document software and perform HiL testing in the lab and at wind farms.

Formación

• English at least level C1 is mandatory.
• Spanish and/or German language skills are a plus.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in automation or software for wind turbines.

Responsabilidades

• Develop control software functions for wind turbine operation.
• Clarify requirements and prepare software specifications.
• Implement software on PLCs according to defined requirements.
• Define test and acceptance criteria for turbine software.
• Ensure quality through HiL testing in lab and at on-site turbines.
• Create corresponding software documentation.

As part of our growth we are looking for a WT Software Automation Engineer. In this role, you will perform the following tasks:

YOUR TASKS:

• New and further development of control technology functions in the area of operational control of the wind turbine
• Technical clarification and creation of software specifications
• Implementation of software functions on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) based on defined requirements
• Definition of test and acceptance criteria for the qualification of the wind turbine software
• Quality assurance through software testing on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) systems in the software laboratory and on-site at wind turbines
• Creation of the related software documentation

YOUR PROFILE:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology
• At least 2-4 years of experience
• Fluent level of English is a must (C1 or above). Spanish and/or German are a great plus
