Job summary

GE Vernova's ROC Technical Lead role is based in Barcelona, focusing on safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center. You will monitor turbine performance, diagnose issues, and collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to keep turbines running reliably throughout their lifecycle.

The role involves travel up to 20% and occasional on-call duties. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge wind technology and a pathway to increase uptime and asset

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and clear technical communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekends/holidays.
