Job summary

GE Vernova's ROC Technical Lead – Remote Operations Center for Wind Energy in Barcelona is seeking an experienced engineer to monitor turbine performance, analyze faults, and guide field teams from a remote hub. You will leverage SCADA and diagnostic tools to keep offshore assets operating safely and efficiently across commissioning and service phases.

You will collaborate with engineering specialists, contribute to process improvements, and travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication and a calm, structured approach under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on‑call support during weekends and public holidays.
