Job summary
GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) based in Barcelona, Spain. You will supervise the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a central remote center, collaborating with site teams and engineering experts to ensure turbines perform reliably across their lifecycle.
The role requires hands-on wind turbine experience, SCADA proficiency, and strong analytical communication.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
- Hands-on work with wind turbines in operation environments.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and apply troubleshooting.
- Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
- Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20%.
- EU work eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms in a remote center.
- Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
- Assist field teams in resolving issues to restore performance.
- Escalate complex issues with structured technical information.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve problems and optimize operations.
- Analyze operational data to identify faults and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to reporting of technical findings and continuous improvement.
- Support occasional weekend/on-call coverage as part of rotating shifts.
