Job summary

GE Vernova, based in Barcelona, Spain, seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center in Wind Energy. The role covers safe, efficient offshore wind asset operation from a central hub, spanning commissioning and service phases to ensure turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.

You will monitor performance, analyze data, troubleshoot remotely, and collaborate with site teams and engineering experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support commissioning and service activities.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
