Job summary

GE Vernova ROC Technical Lead role in Wind Remote Operations, based in Barcelona, requires steering remote support for offshore wind assets across commissioning and service phases. You’ll work with site teams and engineers to diagnose, troubleshoot, and improve turbine reliability.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree, have hands-on wind energy experience, and are proficient with SCADA and electrical schematics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving with clear communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and alarms; respond to conditions.
• Remote diagnostics and troubleshooting for commissioning and service.
• Support field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical info.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve problems.
• Analyse data to identify faults, trends, and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Assist with grid outage support; ensure safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with on‑call weekends/public holidays.
