Job summary

GE Vernova’s ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center in Barcelona manages the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a centralized hub. You will supervise remote diagnostics, support commissioning and service, and coordinate with site teams to resolve issues and improve performance.

The role requires a engineering degree, hands-on wind turbine experience, proficiency with SCADA and electrical schematics, and strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operation environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.
• Fluent English in speech and writing; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms and abnormal conditions.
• Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting for commissioning and service.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required with safety and compliance.
• Work on rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekend/public holiday coverage.
