Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center in Barcelona. You will support commissioning and service phases, ensuring turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.

You will monitor performance, diagnose issues remotely, and collaborate with engineering to resolve problems, while contributing to data-driven improvements and safety-compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm under pressure, collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends/public holidays.
