Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center in wind energy. You will monitor offshore wind assets from Barcelona, guiding commissioning and service activities, diagnosing issues, and driving continuous improvement.

The role requires reading schematics, SCADA experience, and strong analytical skills, with travel up to 20% and relocation to Barcelona as needed. Excellent English is essential, with Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Fluent English; Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotations.
