Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona. You will monitor offshore wind assets, perform remote diagnostics, and collaborate with field teams to ensure reliable turbine performance throughout the lifecycle.

You will work with engineering and support teams, analyze data for faults and trends, and contribute to continuous improvement. The role includes a rotating weekday schedule with some on-call weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
Hands-on turbine/EM systems in operations.
Able to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring.
Strong analytical, clear technical communication, calm under pressure.
Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona; EU eligible.

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
Perform remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support commissioning and service.
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends and improvement opportunities.
Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
Work on a rotating weekday shift and participate in on-call weekends/holidays.
