Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind) based in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee safe and efficient offshore wind asset operations from a remote hub, collaborating with site teams and engineers to diagnose and resolve issues and drive lifecycle reliability.

You will guide commissioning and service activities, analyze data, and contribute to process improvements while supporting occasional grid outage responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with on-call rotation on weekends/holidays.
