Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona to support safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center. You will work with site teams and engineering experts to detect, analyze, and resolve technical issues ensuring turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.

Qualifications

Engineering degree or equivalent experience in wind energy
Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operation
Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting
Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication
Wilingness to travel up to 20% if required
Fluent English; ability to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
Remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support commissioning and service
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends and improvement opportunities
Support reporting and communication of technical findings
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotation for weekends/holidays
