Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor offshore wind assets, perform remote diagnostics, and collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to ensure safe, efficient operation throughout the turbine lifecycle.

The role involves troubleshooting, data analysis, and contributing to continuous improvement, with travel up to 20% and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operations.
Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
Work on a rotating weekday shift with on-call rotation for weekends/public holidays.
