Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center in the wind sector, based in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor turbines, diagnose issues remotely, and support commissioning and service activities to ensure reliable performance throughout the lifecycle.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts, read electrical schematics, and analyze data to identify faults and improvements. Some travel and on‑call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems in operation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shift with occasional on‑call weekends/public holidays.
