Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center to oversee offshore wind assets from Barcelona. You will drive safe, efficient operation, support commissioning and service activities, and guide cross-functional teams in troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

The role requires hands-on wind energy experience, SCADA expertise, and strong analytical communication. Travel up to 20% and relocation to Barcelona are expected as part of joining our global energy transition

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; relocation to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms.
• Support commissioning and service through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with on-call weekends/public holidays.
