Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations in Barcelona, Spain. You will support the safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote center, guiding commissioning and service activities and driving continuous improvement.

You will work with site engineers to diagnose faults, analyze data, and implement corrective actions, with travel up to 20% and a rotating weekday shift. Fluent English is required, Spanish helpful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support.
