Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind) in Barcelona. You will oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets, coordinating commissioning and service phases, and guiding remote diagnostics to sustain turbine performance.

You will collaborate with field and engineering teams, analyze data for faults and improvements, and participate in on-call rotations. Fluency in English and EU work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
• Fluent English and EU work eligibility; willingness to relocate to Barcelona
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call weekends/public holidays
