Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor wind turbine performance, provide remote diagnostics, and support commissioning and service activities to ensure safe, reliable operation across the lifecycle.

You will work closely with site teams and engineering experts, analyze data for faults and improvement opportunities, and participate in on-call rotations with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
