Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) based in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor turbine performance, support commissioning and service activities from a remote hub, and coordinate with engineering teams to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role requires a degree in Engineering, hands-on wind-turbine experience, ability to read electrical schematics, SCADA knowledge, and strong analytical skills with clear communication in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm structured approach under pressure, and a collaborative, proactive mindset
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
