Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to oversee the remote operations center for wind assets. The role focuses on monitoring, diagnostics, and collaborative problem solving to ensure safe, reliable turbine performance across commissioning and service phases.

You will work with site teams and engineering experts, interpreting data, guiding remote troubleshooting, and driving continuous improvement in operations and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication and calm, structured approach under pressure.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends and holidays.
