Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to manage the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center. You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to detect, analyze, and resolve issues, ensuring turbines run reliably across their lifecycle.

You will monitor performance, guide remote diagnostics, and support commissioning and service activities while contributing to continuous improvement and safety in a dynamic, global energy setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine/EM systems experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and clear technical communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms.
• Support remote diagnostics and troubleshooting for commissioning and service.
• Assist field teams and restore performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data for faults and trends.
• Support reporting of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvements and optimization.
• Support grid outages with safety and compliance.
• Work on rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekends/holidays.
