Job summary

GE Vernova’s ROC Technical Lead in Wind Remote Operations in Spain is seeking an experienced engineer to monitor offshore wind assets from a remote operations center. You will work with site teams to detect, analyze, and resolve issues, ensuring safe, reliable turbine performance across the lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on wind turbine experience, SCADA familiarity, and strong communication. Travel up to 20% and relocation to Barcelona are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
