Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona, Spain. The role covers monitoring, diagnostics, and fault resolution to ensure turbine reliability across commissioning and service phases.

You will work with site teams and engineers to detect issues, analyze data, and implement improvements, while ensuring safety and compliance in a rotating shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience.
• Able to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams to resolve issues and restore performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults and trends.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with occasional on-call weekends/holidays.
