Job summary

GE Vernova in Barcelona is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy). You will support the safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote hub, collaborating with site teams and engineering experts to detect, analyze and resolve issues.

You will monitor turbine performance, provide remote diagnostics, assist field teams, escalate complex cases with clear technical data, and contribute to continuous improvement and grid outage support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support commissioning and service activities.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotation during weekends/public holidays.
